Dr. Dolly Sarraf, Professor of Sociology at the Institute of Social Sciences (ISS) – Branch 3 at the Lebanese University, participated in a meeting organized by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina entitled “Culture: Gateway to Development,” as part of the “Alexandria Dialogues” series, attended by the library’s director, Dr. Ahmed Zayed, and a select group of researchers and professors in sociology.

 

Dr. Sarraf gave a presentation in which she emphasized the status of the city of Alexandria and its library as an intellectual and humanitarian beacon carrying a message of renewed knowledge. She stressed that true development is based on awareness and the human ability to understand and embrace the future.
