Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management

The Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management was established in 1997 by virtue of Decree 10332 dated 28/5/1997 and has become leader in providing professionals in the fields of Tourism Management, Hospitality management and Tourist Guidance.

The Faculty prepares students on a high academic and research level according to modern global standards to satisfy public and private tourism enterprises. The Faculty also aims at improving the level of scientific research and higher studies as a contribution to the development of the tourism sector in Lebanon.

Being the only university accredited by IATA as an ATC authorized training center, the faculty teaches the program: Foundation in travel and tourism with galileo/travelport which allows students to get an international diploma allowing them to work in travel and tourism field or to open a travel agency.

In 2021, the Faculty of Tourism & Hospitality Management received a certificate of academic accreditation for its programs at the Bachelor’s level from the French High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (Hcéres), for a period of five years extending from 2021 to 2026.

Without any reservation or conditions, HCERES granted the Faculty a certificate of academic accreditation for the quality of all Bachelor's degree programs.

In 2015, the Students Affairs Department obtained ISO 9001:2008 – Quality Standard.

The Faculty has a Research, Documentation and Publishing Center established in 2016 under Decision No. 1690.
