French philosopher Albert Camus said that we learn to live, which means that we learn not to fear the passing of time. This maxim is now being put into practice by Wafaa Nasser, a Lebanese woman in her 70s.
At the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture (FFAA) of the Lebanese University – North Branch, Wafaa sat among students younger than her grandchildren, as if to open a new chapter in her life entitled “It’s never too late to learn.”

“I wanted to fulfill my dream, which came to a halt when I got married. But when the COVID crisis broke out, I told myself that I had to pursue my dream and continue drawing. I obtained this degree to carry out a project, that of Arabic, the Arabic language that I see disappearing, replaced by foreign letters, and I am trying to revive this Arabic language through drawing.”
