The Lebanese University and the Lebanese Army celebrated the laying of the foundation stone for the Lebanese University campus and military hospital project in Halba-Akkar area, on a plot of land provided by the army.
The ceremony was attended by Army Commander General Rodolphe Haykal, Lebanese University President Dr. Bassam Badran, and Akkar Governor, Imad al-Labaki, in addition to a number of deputies from the region and political, cultural, social, and religious figures.
General Haykal emphasized that it is normal for the military to participate in development initiatives in the Akkar-region, as it has never hesitated to offer its best sons to serve the country in the military.
