The Faculty of Law, Political and Administrative Sciences – Branch 1 at the Lebanese University, in collaboration with the Mouasher Association and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES), organized a workshop entitled “Social Protection in Lebanon: A Right for Every Citizen”.
The workshop opened with a welcome speech by the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Habib Azzi, followed by two presentations by Dr. Dina Al-Mawla and Dr. Najwa Srour.
The workshop was presented by Mr. Sadek Alawieh, a lawyer specializing in labor and social security issues, and was divided into two themes:
Theme 1: Social Security Law in Lebanon
Theme 2: The pension and social protection system
The workshop concluded with an open discussion session with the participation of master’s students, who presented several concepts related to social protection.
