The coordinator of the Psychology Department at the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences, Dr. Nibal Al-Hajj, organized a seminar entitled “Drugs between Science & Society: Psychological Awareness & Practical Vision,” attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Souha Al-Samad, the former Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Ahmad Rabah, Dr. Nassif Nehme, and a large number of psychology students from the Lebanese University and a number of private universities.
The seminar was presented by Dr. Antoine Al-Chartouni and Dr. Ziad Abi Rached, who addressed a number of topics, most notably:
- Definition of drugs, their types and effects
- Groups most vulnerable to drug use
- Psychological profile of drug users
- The relationship between parental images and drug use
- The role of students in training within rehabilitation institutions
