Lebanese University

The Lebanese University team topped the first stage of the Universities Rapid Chess Championship, which was organized at the Library Hall of the Faculty of Engineering – Branch 3 with the participation of 63 competitors from 12 universities.

 

The Lebanese team scored 18.5 points, compared to 17 points for Beirut Arab University and 16 points for USJ.

 

The Lebanese team consists of: Ahmed Hazmeh (second in the provisional individual standings behind Lebanon’s champion Mr. Akram Khader/BAU), Adeeb Arka Dan, Issam Ibrahim, Mario Abdel Khalek, Samir Dahabi and Toufik Dawalibi.

 

The second stage of the tournament will take place on Saturday, April 5 at the Arab Open University.

 

The Lebanese University volleyball team won a 2-0 victory over LIU, and in basketball, the LU beat BAU 80-45.
