Toufik Dawalibi, from the Faculty of Science – Branch 4, won the Lebanese University Rapid Chess Championship, which was organized in the faculty’s library hall with the participation of 22 male and female competitors, in preparation for participating in the Universities Championship hosted by the same hall starting at 12:00 pm on Saturday, 22 March 2025.
The winners and runners-up received trophies from the head of the Sports Activity Department, Ahmad Hazer, and the activity officer in Branches 1, Saleh Zaiter, in the presence of a number of employees of the department who accompanied the competitions, which lasted for about 4 hours.
The technical organization and refereeing were supervised by Elias Khairallah, a member of the Lebanese Chess Federation, who was assisted by Georges Moussa, an international referee.
