President Bassam Badran has appointed Dr. Hussein Ali Rahal as the Dean of the Doctoral School of Literature, Humanities & Social Sciences as of October 2024.
Dr. Rahal holds a PhD in Social Sciences from the Lebanese University and has been the representative of the Institute of Social Sciences professors in the University Council since 2017.
Dr. Rahal has published a number of books, papers and articles in both Arabic and French on the issues of renewal in contemporary Islamic discourse, citizenship and the state, human values and ways to promote them, the social effects of the new electronic media, and the impact of social media on the educational process and social relations.
