As part of the activities accompanying the “February, National Oral Health Month for Children in Lebanon” campaign launched by the Lebanese Society of Pediatric Dentistry in cooperation with dentists’ unions and universities, the Faculty of Dental Medicine organized a series of activities including free screening for over 300 students from several schools, awareness-raising seminars, preventive treatments and the distribution of dental care tools.
The Health Day was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Georges Aoun, the Head of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Rola Barbari, and a number of professors and students.
The president of the association, Dr. Bouran Ambris, stressed the importance of this initiative, which aims to raise awareness of the importance of oral health care for children and the early detection of any health problems.
