The Chess Club at the Faculty of Science – Branch 1 will organize the Artistic Chess Minds Tournament starting at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, 5 February 2025 (Halls D1, D2, and D3.)
The tournament will be organized according to the Swiss system (6 rounds), the duration of each round is 10 minutes + 3 seconds per move. In light of the results recorded, the qualifiers will be selected to join the Lebanese University team participating in the University Championship and other competitions in the season 2025.
The tournament will be supervised by Abdelkarim Fakih, a coach in the Sports Activity Department, assisted by club members Mohammad Fouani, Ali Al-Husseini and Kholoud Karkaba, while Ahmad Najjar, a federal professor and Lebanese champion, has been named as the head referee.
