The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) is organizing a competition for youth in the Arab region in order to enhance their awareness and increase their involvement in practices to combat desertification and drought.
The competition requires the preparation of a short video highlighting the problems of desertification and drought and possible solutions in an attractive way to motivate young people to take initiative and change.
The first three winners will be invited to celebrate the World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought in June 2022 at the UN House – Beirut.
