For the sixth consecutive year, the French Embassy in Lebanon launches its scientific scholarship program SAFAR aiming at supporting the mobility of Lebanese researchers in order to initiate or reinforce high level scientific cooperation projects between France and Lebanon.
The call for applications concerns the second part of the SAFAR program, related to high level scientific scholarships for PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, young researchers and confirmed Lebanese researchers, participating in a high-level research and scientific and technical exchange program.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Holder of Lebanese nationality and residing in Lebanon (candidates of French-Lebanese nationality are not eligible);
- Doctoral student, post-doctoral student or researcher who obtained his/her dissertation no more than 5 years before the planned date of arrival in France and not benefiting from a grant or other support program or a post-doctoral student or professor-researcher who obtained his/her dissertation more than 5 years before the planned date of arrival in France and having a contract in his/her home institution to carry out a mobility in the host laboratory;
- Receiving an invitation for a scientific stay from a host organization in France (higher education and research institution or research organization or company);
- Having the linguistic knowledge adapted to the working language and the research project.
