Centre MINE would like to invite you to attend HECD webinar titled “Tools for Online Teaching” to be facilitated by EDC expert Jordan Detwiler-Michelson on Thursday 11th of February at 3:00 pm. This 90-minutes seminar will cover tips, tricks, and tools for teaching online.

Participants will receive guidance on best practices for online classroom management and engaging students interactively with freely-available online tools.

The session will also increase participants’ knowledge of resources available to support them in using their online meeting platforms.

The seminar will be interactive and will provide opportunities for participants to ask questions and schedule targeted follow-on support. Topics will include:

  • Managing your online classroom
  • Identifying features in your HEI’s virtual meeting software
  • Using breakout rooms and polls
  • Using a variety of free online tools (including Padlet, DirectPolls, and AnswerGarden)
