President Bassam Badran held a coordination meeting with the deans of faculties and institutes, during which they discussed administrative and technical procedures in preparation for the resumption of the academic year, in addition to cooperation agreements with foreign universities that have common work schedules with some of the LU faculties.
After deliberations, and despite the difficulties and harsh conditions resulting from the persistent Israeli aggression, the meeting issued the following decisions:
- Adopting remote education for the start of the academic year 2024-2025 in the faculties, institutes and branches of the Lebanese University.
- As of Monday, 28 October 2024 at the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dental Medicine, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences (French Section).
- Monday, 4 November 2024 in the following faculties and institutes:
- Faculty of Science, Faculty of Technology, Faculty of Public Health, Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture, Faculty of Information, Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Agronomy, Faculty of Economics & Business Administration.
- Monday, 11 November 2024 at the Faculty of Tourism & Hospitality Management, Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences, Faculty of Pedagogy, and the Institute of Social Sciences.
The presidency will keep its meetings open to keep abreast of the requirements and progress of university studies and announce any changes in teaching mechanisms.
