Ali Husseini won the rapid chess championship organized by the Artistic Chess Minds club at the Faculty of Science – Branch 1 with the participation of 25 students.
The tournament was held according to the Swiss system of six rounds and was supervised by the coach of the Sports Department, Abdul Karim Fakih, the president of the Chess Club, Mahammad Mahdi Fawani, and members Fadel Qarsif and Mohammad Baker, and the former Lebanese champion, Mr. Ahmad Najjar who refereed the matches. The sports activities officer for Branches 1, Saleh Zeaiter, also attended a number of rounds.
