Issam Ibrahim and Safa Emad won the title of the rapid chess championship in the faculties and institutes of the Lebanese University – Branches 3, which was organized at the Faculty of Engineering – Branch 1 with the participation of 35 students.
The tournament was inaugurated by the faculty director Dr. Maher Al-Rafei in the presence of the members of the committee supervising and activating sports activity at the Lebanese University, Dr. Tarek Assaf and Dr. Zakaria Messaykeh.
The tournament was organized by Shadi Tout, a coach in the Sports Activity Department, and the technical matters were handled by Elias Khairallah, a member of the Lebanese Chess Federation, in cooperation with Georges Moussa, an international referee.
