As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen international cooperation and support scientific research, the Lebanese University signed an agreement to launch a joint doctoral program with the French university network A2U, which includes the University of the Littoral Opal Coast (ULCO), University of Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV), and Artois University.
The agreement was signed at the Lebanese University Presidency Building – Museum in the presence of President Bassam Badran, and the President of ULCO, Dr. Edmond Abi Aad, representing the A2U network, and a number of deans of faculties and institutes of the Lebanese University and directors of its branches.
The program aims to strengthen research cooperation between the Doctoral School of Science & Technology and research centers at A2U universities by offering annual scholarships to Lebanese students to pursue doctoral theses under the joint supervision of the Lebanese University and one of the A2U
