The LU Task Force (LUTF) implemented an agricultural activity in South Lebanon in two phases, in conjunction with the “Land Day” events and in support of the steadfast farmers of the southern towns.
Student volunteers from the Faculties of Agronomy, Science, Pedagogy, Economics & Business Administration participated in the activity, which included packing seedlings and distributing agricultural quotas to farmers in the towns of Maaraka, Yanouh (30 March 2025) and Jibal al Butm (12 April 2025), in cooperation with the mayors of the three villages within the campaign “For the Land… for the South” launched by the Agricultural Movement in coordination with the Union of Tyre Municipalities.
