Mario Abdelkhalek (Faculty of Science) won the title of the rapid chess championship in the faculties and institutes of the Lebanese University – Branches 2, which was organized at the Faculty of Engineering – Branch 2, with the participation of 25 students, under the supervision of the sports activity officer in Branches 2, Tania Daher.
The tournament was inaugurated by the Director of the Faculty of Engineering – Branch 2, Dr. Karen Kassis, in the presence of Dr. Tarek Assaf, a member of the Supervisory Committee for Sports Activity and Activation at the Lebanese University.
The tournament was organized by Georges Farah, coach in the Sports Activity Department, and the technical matters were handled by Elias Khairallah, a member of the Lebanese Chess Federation.
