The Institute of Social Sciences – Branch 3 organized an orientation meeting entitled “Curves of Behavior: How to confront social deviance with values and morals”, in the presence of the Mufti of Tripoli and the North Sheikh Mohammed Imam, the Archbishop of the Maronite Catholic Archeparchy of Tripoli, Bishop Youssef Soueif, and political, educational, academic and social figures.
The Dean of the Institute of Social Sciences, Dr. Marlene Haidar, praised the awareness-raising initiatives in spreading moral values and promoting dialogue between the components of society, and focused on the national and humanitarian dimension of such initiatives and the need to integrate science and values in educating generations.
Both Mufti Imam and Bishop Soueif spoke, emphasizing the responsibility of the individual and society in preserving the system of values and morals and the importance of education based on love, forgiveness and human dignity.
