Faculty of Information - Branch II

Students from the Faculty of Information – Branch 2 in the Department of Journalism & Media Sciences (3rd year) hosted artist Youssef Aoun in a discussion moderated by Dr. Ivana Marchelian.

During the discussion, Aoun focused on the importance of culture for critics in order to correct their work and highlight any flaws, if found.

Aoun linked the culture of the critic to his ability to comprehend all stages of art history in general, i.e., the musical and literary history of peoples, as well as the visual history of the great painters and sculptors of ancient and modern times.

It is worth noting that this meeting is part of the “Literary, Artistic and Political Criticism” course.
