President Bassam Badran participated in a high-level conference at the European Parliament in Brussels entitled “Bridging continents: higher education as a tool for EU–Southern Mediterranean cooperation”.
The conference was organized by the European Mediterranean University (EMUNI) and the Euromed University of Fes (UEMF) in cooperation with the Brussels-based Slovenian Business & Research Association (SBRA) and with the support of the Union for the Mediterranean.
Participants discussed the contribution of higher education to advancing the implementation of the new Mediterranean Charter, strengthening regional alliances, and supporting dialogue between the EU and the Southern Mediterranean.
The conference also focused on key areas of cooperation, including:
