The Research Center at the Institute of Social Sciences, in collaboration with the Center for Arab Unity Studies, organized a scientific seminar entitled “US Economic Policies and the International Economy: An Analytical Approach to Tools of Economic Hegemony.”
The seminar was presented by Dr. Hassan Bougrine, former Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Laurentian University in Canada and attended by a group of professors and graduate students at the Institute.
The seminar was opened by the Director of the Research Center, Dr. Hussein Abou Rida, who stressed in his speech the importance of the topic, which comes at a crucial time for understanding US economic policies and trends during the presidency of Donald Trump and their repercussions on the economies of the world and all societies, including Lebanon.
