Student Kevin Artoun, from the Faculty of Pedagogy – Branch 2 (Department of Physical Education & Sports), won three bronze medals at the 3rd West Asian Athletics Championships for young men and women under 20, which were held between October 2 and 5 at the Camille Chamoun Sports City Stadium in Beirut, with the participation of competitors from nine countries.
Arton considers the West Asian Championships an excellent experience because it gave him experience by competing with athletes who have spent long periods of time training and preparing. He aspires to improve his personal bests in the 100m (11.02 seconds) and 200m (22.24 seconds) and promises to break the 11-second barrier soon.
Artun points out that his major in the Faculty of Pedagogy and Science helps him prepare better physically, psychologically, and mentally.
