The Department of Arts & Antiquities at the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences, organized a workshop entitled “Criminal Anthropology: Techniques for the Recovery and Analysis of Skeletal Remains to Identify Victims of the Recent Zionist Aggression Against Lebanon,” presented by Dr. Nada Elias.

 

The workshop, which was held at the Lebanese University/Central Administration Building – Museum, was attended by representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross, paramedics from the Health Authority, archaeology students from the FLHS, and students from the master’s program in Forensic Science at the Faculty of Science – Lebanese University and AUST.

 

Participants in the workshop were trained in handling human remains, learning techniques for surveying, excavating, documenting and photographing remains, and extracting DNA, as well as techniques for separating remains if they belong to more than one person and creating biological
